AFTER OFFICIAL RELEASE, UU LOOOKS FORWARD TO THE SECOND ISSUE

The Unus Unorum is a student’s initiative and is a youth led step that aims to develop people’s literary and creative skills to show their vision on issues which a growing society like ours should not outcast. Founded in September 2011, the magazine supports original contributions to implement innovative projects that promote the expressions of people with a different vision.

The title of the magazine is in Latin language and its meaning in English language suggests ‘First among equals’. It shall be a socio legal magazine with the consequent issues to be released on a quarterly basis. For the first issue they have published articles of law students from various other national law schools, professionals and academicians.

The idea was generated and nourished by our Founder and editor in chief Namit Saxena who is a 4th year student of law at Dr. RMLNLU, Lucknow and was later joined by Pratik Chandra. Official Release of a national level magazine titled ‘Unus Unorum’ was held at UK India Policy Dialogue on Innovations in Higher Education management Seminar organised by British Council held at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow.

The inauguration was done by Prof. M.C.Sharma (Vice Chancellor Central university of Haryana, Former Vice Chairman UGC and Former Director NLIU Bhopal), Dr. Pegram Harrison (Oxford University) Prof. A Chaube (Head Department of Education, Lucknow University), Ms. Manjula Rao (Head Programmes West India, British Council Division), Prof. Kripa Shanker (Vice Chancellor, G.B.Technical University, UP), Prof. B. Hanumaiah (Vice Chancellor, Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar Central university, Lucknow) and Prof. R P Singh (President HERF, Former Vice Chancellor, Lucknow University)with the support of Prof. Nishi Pandey (Secretary HERF).

We are looking forward for original contributions for the December 2011 issue with the deadline as 20th November 2011 from Students as well professionals.
