The Students’ Union, SRCC, is proud to present: ‘The Business Conclave 2012 -- OUTWIT. OUTPLAY OUTLAST’, the three-day extravaganza encompassing a cornucopia of business simulacrums, with an objective of providing a forum for the exchange of ideas among the brightest students in the country to foster innovation, encourage ideas, and discuss developments in the buzzing corporate world.

The three-day event encompasses seven staircase events that test various kinds of business acumen: Figure out your way across the ever-so tricky maze of the world of economics and management with ‘Chasing Margins: The Business Detective’ to. Fret out straight of the gurus themselves about what it means to be out there in the corporate world with ‘Converse: The Guest Speaker Session’. Aim to be one a guru yourself by fighting the intense HR, Finance, Marketing, and Management rounds at ‘Mr. Virtuoso: The Best Manager’. Cook and serve the B-Plan that has kept you thinking for a while now in the kitchen of ‘Genesis: The B-Plan Competition’. If you think you have the ability of setting right the wrong and reviving an organization, test your mettle at ‘Empyrean: The Case Study Competition’. Let your palms get sweaty with serious back-of-the-envelope calculations and let each announcement send a chill down your spine when you come geared for ‘Arbitrage: The Stock Market Simulation’. And finally, let them know your love for the goings-on in the B-world when you hit the buzzer at ‘Meridian: The Business Quiz’.

MR. VIRTOUSO: The Best Manager

An event that tests your mettle in every craft and skill and even the crafty skills that make a manager a manager. Competitors shall face gruelling sessions to overcome challenges from every aspect of management - from finance to marketing, strategy to operations, systems to HR.

Best manager is the flagship event of the Business Conclave. This is where practicality commingles with the education. If you think a good manager has the art of making problems so interesting and their solutions so constructive that everyone wants to get to work and deal with them, well, let’s call that a start!
