Oopali Operajita is one of India’s prominent political and international affairs advisers. She was distinguished Faculty Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, USA between 1989-99. She started advising a few of India’s top political leaders and cabinet ministers, upon their requesting her, on US-India and Canada-India relations. When she returned to India, she swiftly established herself as a much sought after adviser in the bastions of political power. She was advisor to Honourable Kapil Sibal and Dig Vijay Singh. She is also advisor of Naveen Jindal, Vice president Jindal Steel and Power Ltd and Rahul Bajaj, Vice President Bajaj Auto Ltd. Currently she is advisor to Sankat Mochan Foundation, Varanasi. She had been part of many delegation which met delegates like Angela Merkel of Germany, Prime Minister Gordon Brown of UK, President Hu Jintao of China, President Dr Anabel Cavaco Silva of Portugal, President Vladimir Putin of Russia, Prime Minister Matti Van Hanen of Finland, WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy, Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero of Spain, President Chirac of France (when he was president), Premier Dalton McGuinty of Ontario, Canada, Larry Summers, Director of the White House\'s National Economic Council for President Barack Obama, President Nicolas Sarkozy of France, former US Assistant Secretary of State, Rick Boucher, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former US Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright and Dr Henry Kissinger, and the delegation led by Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia to India. She is also chair and founder of Al Gore sustainable venture competition and CEO of Cicero, A Trans National Advisory. Apart from her political and international affair advisor, she is one of India’s celebrated and decorated Odissi classical dancer and choreographer.
