--- Women empowerment is a progressive undertaking by Intel Corporation and Ashoka Changemakers where it brings out a competition to develop better solutions to women empowerment by use of Information Technology and Communication.

About the Competition:

The competition is open to solutions from around the world, with special consideration for innovations developed for women by women aged 18 to 34. Entries will be accepted in English, Spanish, Portuguese, or French.

Intel employees are not eligible.

Guidelines:

1> Reflect the theme of the competition: She Will Innovate: Technology Solutions Enriching the Lives of Girls.

2> Identify innovations that accelerate women’s socio-economic progress by empowering them with digital solutions to improve women’s health, education, and well-being.

3> Indicate growth beyond the conceptual stage and have demonstrated impact and sustainability. We support new ideas at every stage and encourage their entry. The judges are better able to evaluate programs that are beyond the conceptual stage and have demonstrated a proof of impact.

One of three US$10,000 cash prizes in unrestricted funding to boost your project.

1> Entry Stage- Beginning June 6, 2012,
2> Early Entry Deadline- July 18, 2012: Entries received by 5 p.m. EST on July 18, 2012 are eligible for the Early Entry prize.
3> Entry Deadline: August 15, 2012, 5 p.m. EST
4> Online Review and Finalist Selection, August 15 – October 17, 2012
5> Voting and Winners Selection, October 17 – November 7, 2012
