Shaastra, IIT Madras' annual technical festival,the first technical festival to be given the ISO 9001:2000 rating and ISO 9001:2008 rating last year. The festival will include a variety of competitions,Quizzes, lectures,video conferences and workshops like- AerofestCoding Design EventsDesign AND Build(Junkyard wars,Da Vinci Machines)Imagineer(Tech Ex,Shastra nights)Online events like-Online Math,puzzle championship,quiz,science,fiction writing The Shaastra Symposium on 29th September 2010: The symposium will explore the impact on society through the discussions that will be held on technology intervention and policy recommendations to improve technology in rural India. The symposium will include talks by eminent speakers and workshops that will help the young intellectuals to venture into the society. AGSTVC: The Al Gore Sustainability Venture Competition will be held as a part of Shaastra 2010.
