The International seminar on Recent Advances in GeoSciences - RAG 2011, will be held from Jan 11th-13th.2011. It is being organized by the Dept. of Applied GeoPhysics - ISM Dhanbad. The Seminar will address and focus on recent advances in geosciences and techniques.    Extended Abstracts are invited on the following themes: *Emerging trends in fossil and non-fossil exploration   *Rock physics *Reservoir geophysics *Near surface geophysics *Optimization Techniques *Mineral and Ground water exploration *Solid Earth Geophysics *Remote Sensing and its applications *Disaster Management and Mitigation     An Extended abstract of max. 4 pages (A4 size) should be submitted in . DOC format. All Images should be in Black and white. A soft as well as hard copy is essential which can be downloaded from the ISM Dhanbad website. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed and accepted on the basis of merit or content with respect to the theme of the seminar for Oral or Poster Presentation.   The registration form is there on the website link.     Accommodation can be provided in the Guest House or nearby hotels,on payment basis.
