The Queen’s Entrepreneurs’ Competition is Canada’s largest international business plan competition. The QEC has received business plan submissions from as far as Australia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Scotland, South Africa , India, Singapore, Portugal, the U. S. and the Philippines. Now in its 23rd year, the Queen's Entrepreneurs' Competition brings together the brightest young entrepreneurs from across the world to compete for $25,000 in cash prizes. Competitors also have the chance to network with Canada's leading business professionals. Furthermore, QEC prides itself on the incredible judge to competitor ratio of 3:4--a tremendous networking opportunity and ratio of almost one competitor to one judge. Past speakers include: Clive Beddoe, founder of Westjet Airlines; Brett Wilson, Dragon from CBC’s The Dragons’ Den; and Bryan Pearson, President of Air Miles Canada; and Ron Bremner, former CEO of the Calgary Flames. The sixteen teams who make it past the preliminary business plan grading will have the opportunity to network with these amazing individuals and receive feedback about their business plans at the final round. The QEC final will be taking place from January 20th to January 22nd 2010. The QEC is well-known across the world and was called “One of the longest-running and best-known undergraduate business plan competitions in the world” by the New York Times. As the Queen’s Entrepreneurs’ Competition enters its 23rd anniversary, it promises to be the best yet.
