About the event:

The all new National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest is here again. The contest will run from April 5 to June 28, with an entry fee of $15. For those procrastinators out there, we've extended the deadline until July 11 with an increase of $10 per entry. We are accepting digital entries online in any of these four categories: Travel Portraits; Outdoor Scenes; Sense of Place; and Spontaneous Moments.

Photograph requirements:

1>Photographs must be in digital format. Only online entries will be eligible. No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this Contest.

2> Only minor burning, dodging and/or color correction is acceptable, as is cropping. High dynamic range images (HDR) and stitched panoramas are NOT acceptable.

Submissions:

The entries will be judged in accordance with the Judging Criteria. All entries must be submitted and received by July 11, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt.
