Theoretical Physics is an important area of Physics that makes use of Mathematics to describe different aspects of Nature. Considering the recent advances in the various areas of Theoretical Physics, the Physics Department, Tezpur University is organizing a National Conference on Theoretical Physics (NCTP – 2012) during October 8–12, 2012. The aim of the conference is to bring together experts in different areas of Theoretical Physics and to provide a platform for discussions and presentations with opportunities for young and motivated researchers and students to interact and to take up challenging problems in the field. There will be several scientific sessions with invited talks by experts in different fields. Also there will be contributory talks and poster sessions to provide sufficient time for presentations and interactions. Papers/ Posters will be presented on the following topics:
