About TEDxDTU

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxDTU, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxDTU event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Just like a phoenix rises after being reduced to ashes every five hundred years, ideas never die out. Even in their latent state, they are highly resilient and are difficult to get rid of. Being contagious, they spread like fire in the woods. They travel from one mind to another, taking different forms and guises, but intact in all their knowledge and glory, waiting for the opportune moment to punctuate the darkness that aims to corrode the creativity of thought. It’s that time of the year again when the creative minds from all across the globe join hands in an urge to exorcize the lull of darkness. After the colossal success of the inaugural event, TEDxDTU is back with its second edition to bridge the gap between the active listener and the pro-active preacher, for knowledge is the ultimate pool of wealth needed for a safe and sound existence.
