Like every year, Indian Council for Cultural Relations invites participants for the Maulana Azad International Essay Competition in English, Hindi, Urdu and Arabic languages.

Topics are wide-ranging, and should be written in bold on the envelope to be sent.

Eligibility:

Participant should be a bonafide student of an accredited university or research institution located in Asia only. A certificate to this effect obtained from the university or institution and a passport-sized photograph must be enclosed with the entries. Participants must be under 30 years of age.

Application details:

The essays should be typed double-spaced, or written in calligraphy (for Urdu and Arabic). Submit four copies of essay -- one original copy, and three photocopied ones. Each page should be clearly numbered. The length of the essay must be accompanied by a summary of 500 words. Only one essay can be submitted per participant.
