Agastya International Foundation (Agastya) is a transformative educational non-profit. Since 1999, Agastya is actively engaged in propagating hands-on learning among economically disadvantaged children and teachers. It streams its vision and mission to rural India through a variety of channels including a Creativity Lab located on a 172-acre campus near Bangalore, 65 Mobile Labs spread across 10 states in India and 29 Science Centres spread across A.P. and Karnataka. To date, Agastya has directly reached and impacted (face-to-face) 5 million children (of whom 50% are girls) and 150,000 teachers through continued efforts.
Agastya International Foundation is inviting applications for the Agastya Fellowship Program aiming to identify young and passionate individuals and exposing them to innovative projects and teaching learning methods for the education of economically disadvantaged children.
There is a structured 18-month program during which, fellows will build on-the-job managerial and entrepreneurial skills. The program will also help Fellows shape their ideas, get clarity and deep understanding of creating change at the grassroots. The Fellows will be working on Academic Projects or on Project/Program based on their earlier experiences, interests and skill set. In the long run, this will also help Fellows forge mutually beneficial partnerships with other Fellows and maximize the impact each one can have in helping India achieve its potential.
