Aim:

The Acer Incredible Green Contest is the first annual environment protection and enhancement competition sponsored by Acer Foundation designed to promote and collect innovative ideas of green- centric applications. As the global climate and environment continue to change, it is essential to create sustainable solutions that embrace energy saving, carbon reduction, ecological conservation, and other crucial environmental issues. Most importantly, its aim is to emphasize the importance of increasing awareness and caring for a green environment among the general public.


Awards and Prizes:

Golden Award (1) – US$60,000

Silver Award (2) – US$35,000

Bronze Award (4) – US$20,000

Special Jury Award (TBA) – US$10,000

Finalists will be granted a complementary trip to Taipei, Taiwan and a visit to COMPUTEX 2013.

If due to a lack of entries judged to be suitable at semi-finalist or finalist phase, the prize money will be
added to the following year's competition.

The Panel of Judges:

The panel of judges is made up of numbers of industry experts and academic scholars.


Eligibility:

1. Students of all ages worldwide
2. Students who are registered at an accredited institution prior to October 31, 2012
3. Individual contestants and teams are all welcome
4. A maximum number of 5 members for each competing team
