Gubbi Labs is a private research collective with strong foundations in research and underpinnings of a social enterprise. The Labs works on a host of domains ranging from sustainable ecosystems to livable settlements. The Labs is powered by a collective with interdisciplinary expertise and focus on research, development and consultancy. Gubbi Labs also offers specialized training from time-to-time based on specific user requirements. In pursuance with this, Gubbi Labs is offering short-courses and workshops.
"Exploring Natural History" is a one-day field based workshop on Natural History and Photography. The aim of the workshop is to enable participants to identify and appreciate common life forms like plants, trees and animals in their environment. The workshop facilitates participants to understand the different aspects of biodiversity around us. This will be followed by an interactive session moderated by experts to discuss ways and means of contributing to initiatives on biodiversity and conservation. As an added benefit, the workshop will introduce the audience to the basic principles of appreciating biodiversity through photography. Participants will learn tips and precautions to be followed while using photography as a tool to experience biodiversity.
Place: Eco-station, Gubbi, Tumkur district, Karnataka | Gubbi is about 90 km north-west of Bangalore along the NH 206 Bangalore - Honnavar National Highway. If you are reaching by public transport (Bus-KSRTC / Train), it will take you about 2.5 hours to reach Gubbi. If you are driving it will take less than 2 hours. Detailed instructions on reaching the place will be communicated to the participants.

Charges: Rs. 3,000 per person (includes breakfast, lunch and other resources).
