Clava Fiesta is a National Literary Festival organized by the University Literary Club, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. The event will be held on 15th and 16th February 2012. This two day long colorful event will comprise many literary events where participants, students, academicians, faculty members, teachers and intellectuals will gather and celebrate the 50 years of the formation of literary activities in the Aligarh Muslim University.

The National Literary Festival “Clava Fiesta” comprises of the following events:

1) Panel Discussion

2) Book Fair

3) Elocution

4) Master Quiz

5) Essay Writing Competition

6) Creative Writing Competition

General Rules

- Each participating university is entitled to send one participant/team for each event. However, the organizers reserve the right to invite individual college/institutes, who shall be deemed as separate institutions for award of prizes.

- The participants must be bona fide student of the participating college/institution, enrolled for the undergraduate or postgraduate course of study. Research scholars are not eligible for participation.

- Admission to the event will be subjected to the presentation of a letter of the credentials from the Head of the institution/Cultural coordinator/DSW certifying the bona-fide status of the participants.

- Each participant of Elocution, Creative Writing, Essay writing competition and Quiz will be awarded a certificate of participation.

- Participants will be provided food and lodging facilities free of charge from evening of 14th February 2012 to the evening of 16th February 2012.

-To and fro travelling expenses will be borne by the participating institution.

- Registration fees: Rs 500 per participant.

- Registration fees is payable when the participants reach the reception desk at AMU. In case of essay writing competition, participants are required to send a demand draft in favor of “Convener University Literary Club AMU”

- Participants are free to participate in one or all the events, the registration fee will remain same.

-There will be a winner and a runner prize in the form of cash which shall be awarded on the cumulative performance of the institution in all the events.

- The host University will compete only for the best speaker/best creative writer/best essay prizes.

- Female participants may be accompanied by a teacher-in-charge. The in-charge will be the guest of the Host University and will be accorded the usual hospitalities.
