The students of Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Madras are organising its 2nd Academic Conference on the topic "Negotiating Conflict" in September, 2012. The conference gives an opportunity to UG/PG students to present a paper in the streams of Development Studies, Economics and English Studies in front of an eminent panel.

The "Call for Proposals" for each of the three streams can be found in the Facebook Event Group, Conflict2012. The proposals for your paper have to be in one of the sub-themes in any one of the stream as indicated in the invitation.

Last date for sending the proposals has been postponed to: Juky 5, 2012.

The results will be announced by 10 July 2012 and the selected students will get 2 months for completing the paper.
