VNIT, one of the premier institutes for engineering in India, undoubtedly bags the cream of intellectual talent from the region. In 2001, with a common motivation to showcase technical alacrity and the dire need for new ideas, AXIS, the technical festival of VNIT, was born. Originally christened Odyssey, the technical festival was soon renamed AXIS, to represent a much more active crusade against the lack of novelty and original thought applied to established technological norms, which threatens to impede any future human advancement. Since its inception in 2001, AXIS has never looked back.
