About Award

The ultimate objective of the ASDF Student Project Award is to recognize a student project that demonstrates leadership, innovation, inspiration and a creative vision for the future of sustainable design in all the fields. This competition challenges students to explore innovative, realistic design of the built environment thinking globally, acting locally to achieve a durable, efficient, comprehensive design that is easy to maintain and operate while being adaptable for future generations.

This award is to encourage young engineers and professional to engage themselves in industry oriented research. Also this promotes joint projects among Industry, Research Laboratories and Academic Institutions. This induces Industry to take up further development of the recognized projects, which may ultimately become new and innovative industrial processes or products and may give first-in-the market advantage.

Why ASDF Student Project Awards?

This ASDF Student Project Title encourages the young dynamic people for evidence-based practice and policy among them. This Student Project has prize values extending to 100,000 INR selecting 15 monetary Citations and 1 Mega non-monetary citation.

Doctoral Work

Implementation Done / Awarded / Recommended for Ph. D. Awarding

The project must be of an exceptional quality. Awardees age should not be more than 30 as of 31 January, 2013. Must have undertaken his/her final semester during the above said year(s). The nominations must be sent by Deans/Heads of Engineering College where the candidate has carried out his project/thesis and not through the organization where the candidate is presently working.

Submission Method:

Three nominations maximum for projects/theses in each of the major engineering disciplines at the three levels, viz., Doctoral, Master's and Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Electricals and Mechanical are invited from Deans/Heads of Engineering College/Departments for assessing their innovative potential and intrinsic merit.

Bonafide Certificate along with the recommendation letter from Dean/Principal, project abstract in print format, project description in Compact Disc, project PowerPoint presentation in compact disc should be well packed and sent to Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties, 321, 9th Avenue, Anugraha Satellite Township, Thavalakuppam, Pondicherry - 605 007 before the deadline along with the Demand Draft of INR 222 per team in favor of Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties payable at Pondicherry. Last minute submission should be handed over in person for the consideration.
