Spree, BITS Pilani - Goa Campus’ Annual Sports Festival is a four-day extravaganza where the cream of the sporting talent from all over the country congregate to exhibit their prowess in numerous sports. From its humble beginnings in 2006 as an intercollege event, Spree has burgeoned into one of the country’s largest and most eagerly awaited Sports festivals. Spree 2009 witnessed as many as 500 participants from colleges all over the country. And this time, Spree 2010 is all set to take the country by storm as in addition to the main sporting events, we bring for you 3 International Carrom Players (one amongst them is an Arjuna Awardee, Mr. Maria A. Irudayam) who are going to play exhibition matches and hold workshops for teaching never before witnessed carrom skills. SPREE '10 also gives you a number of off-beat special events like pool, kho-kho, kabaddi, gully cricket, futsal, c-pool and many more that express our belief that sports are, after all, all about fun. Amongst the notable events is the Goa Half Marathon that offers you the opportunity to run, for a worthy cause, as the funds collected are donated to VIBGYOR, Nirmaan, and HelpAge India, in the unique surroundings only Goa can provide. Also, watch out for the Spree Special Nights that are sure to leave you dazzled as we give you mind-bending performances from some of the country’s finest artists.
