The First Subrata Roy Chowdhury Memorial Essay Writing Competition is being co-organized by the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), the Society of International Law and Practice (SILP), and the NUJS ILSA Chapter in association with the Indian Yearbook of International Law and Policy. The object of the competition is to promote research and writing in international law. The competition seeks to encourage creative thinking and the themes that have been selected for the competition are thus issues which are crucial today, to the field of international law and related legal policy. There are five themes mentioned on th website. The essays must be between 4500-6500 words inclusive of all footnotes, accompanied by a 200 word abstract. The entries must be submitted in the Microsoft Word format. Three prizes of Rs. 8000, Rs. 6500 and Rs. 5000 are to be distributed to the respective winners.
