Bhoomi Network is organizing a two day Conference on Food, Health and Climate Change titled 'Be the Change' .
The main objectives of the conference are to encourage a ban on processed foods and junk foods in school and college campuses and to document findings on the conference theme and make an appeal to the State and Central Governments regarding these needs.
The process focus of the conference ranges from queries on eating healthy foods to the way how certain chemicals in food affect human health and behavior and the ways to develop a healthy food habit. Emphasis would also be given on seeing the bigger picture that connects with agriculture and climate change.
The content focus will be on areas such as processed foods, toxic effect of chemical agriculture, genetically modified foods and how our food system impacts climate change.
