Ubuntu at Work Trust is looking to hire two part time field coaches in Bangalore.  The person must have excellent communication skills, be fluent in English and Kannada (knowledge of Tamil will be a plus), dynamic, familiar with social networking and using it to communicate. Ubuntu at Work is a global nonprofit that helps women micro entrepreneurs earning less that $2 a day escape poverty. They help the women gain capabilities and produce products we sell in global markets. They use their online social networking platform to conduct coaching conversations with women micro entrepreneurs.  

 

Responsibilities:

- Volunteers or part time field coaches help communicate the coaching conversations to the women and thus connect the women to their online platform.   

- The job involves meeting every week with the groups of women micro entrepreneurs they are working with in and around Bangalore, and communicating their coaching points to them.  

- The field coach will have to post her conversations and her comments about the conversations with the women on our blog site and respond to any comments.  

 

They anticipate this work taking no more than eight hours per week or 1/5th of a full position.   The compensation will depend on experience and capabilities.
