OrganizerScientists and Engineers for America (SEA)

Scientists and Engineers for America (SEA) is recruiting Virtual Science Policy Interns to support the development of their programs, such as the NJ/VA Gubernatorial Election Tracking Project and their science policy wiki, the SHARP Network.SEA Virtual Interns hail from across the country and around the world and work remotely on specific assignments and in committees. Virtual Interns are an integral part of SEA’s work. In addition to weekly or bi-weekly assignments, Virtual Interns are encouraged to participate in weekly science policy conference calls, recommended readings, and bi-monthly science policy speaker webinars.

The typical Virtual Internship requires between 5 to 10 hours per week and requires access to a computer with an internet connection and a telephone. Internships last for at least eight weeks and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.SEA strongly encourages applicants to become a member (a free service) on their website and examine the projects carefully before applying in order to prepare a detailed and intelligent cover letter.
