Nitin Rao | Founder

Nitin Rao is a TED India Fellow and an MBA candidate in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation track at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Abhimanyu Vatsya

Abhimanyu is passionate about design and loves user interfaces. He has a B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation from BITS Pilani - Goa and is currently working as a software developer at Sabre Airline Solutions, Bangalore.

Priya Naik

Priya has graduate degrees in Economics from Yale, in Public Policy from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and in Accounting from the University of Mumbai. She is also a Certified Public Accountant. She has worked at the Poverty Action Lab at MIT, USA, International Finance Corporation (IFC), USA, and Arthur Andersen in India. Priya won the runners up prize at MIT $100K Business Plan competition and spent the summer working with Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus at Grameen Bank in Dhaka. Recently she helped launch Genesis, a social innovation and entrepreneurship competition at IIT Madras in India.

Selvam Velmurugan

Selvam is a veteran technologist with more than 12 years of experience in building and managing distributed web-scale systems. During his 10 year stint at Amazon between 1998 to 2008, he worked on complex search indexing and querying systems, setup the Chennai development center for Amazon, and managed critical platform components for Amazon Web Services - a.k.a cloud computing and storage. In November 2008, he quit Amazon to start eMoksha.org, an online platform aimed at empowering local communities and volunteer organizations to manage day-to-day civic issues efficiently through better accountability and transparency. In the past, he has been part of several non-profit efforts, notably as a core member of the Tsunami Relief team at Amazon enabling collection of $15+ million dollars in relief funds.


Selvam holds an MS in CS from University of Georgia and BS in CS from College of Engineering, Guindy. He also holds a diploma in Film-making from University of Washington, Seattle and is the director of the short-movie Non-Conformity. He likes to spend his free time thinking, and sometimes not-thinking, about the meaning of it all.

Chetan

Chetan is a manager in strategy and operations with Deloitte Consulting in Canada. Chetan has an MBA and an MS in Information Management from Arizona State University, USA and a Masters in Public Administration from India. He is also a Chartered Accountant, PMP (USA) and a Bachelor of Commerce from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta. He started and ran the Spark Group, a for-profit social enterprise that worked towards improving the quality of education at the bottom of the pyramid in India. He has also cofounded JhankarBeats, a platform for promoting upcoming Indian musicians and artistes. Chetan has worked with Deloitte Consulting as a management consultant in the US and has more than eleven years of experience in strategy, accounting, auditing, finance and information systems in both public and private sectors.
